About Me

I began playing at age 10, starting in ‘71. I started on keys, then switched to bass. But also picked up drums and rhythm guitar. I played in cover bands in upstate NY from 1982 to 1985. In ‘85, I moved to Los Angeles and played in bands as a member, and as a session player. I played all the sunset strip clubs in Hollywood, Los Angeles, and in the Southbay.

You can click on “Session Work Past Projects” to see the bands I played in. I played sessions from the mid 80’s up to around 2010.

Now I work on mostly my solo gig. I have released my songs on Spotify, Youtube and other streaming platforms. I put out two CD’s, “Change Of Heart” and “Tiny Screens & Jelly Beans. The latter being instrumental guitar rock. With me playing guitar. Sometimes I hire guest singers for a different vibe.

I also recorded an album, “Generations End” with Larry DeMarco in New York in September 2023. A collection of ten Jazz inspired tracks, feat. me on bass, and Larry on guitar.

I guess one could say I am sort of transgendered. Like…Trans-lite: Mostly a Male-to-female crossdressor. I never transitioned medically; just socially. I don’t necessarily perform as Carla if I’m working for clients, or other bands I might be playing/jamming with. Mostly I am Carla for my solo project, and in other areas of my life. Thanks for visiting my page. You rock, whoever you are!
