About Me

I began playing at age 10, 1970. I started on keys, then switched to bass. But also picked up drums and rhythm guitar. I played in cover bands in upstate NY from 1982 to 1985. In ‘85, I moved to Los Angeles and played in bands as a member, and as a session player. I played all the Sunset strip clubs in Hollywood, Los Angeles, the San Fernando Valley, Orange County, and the Southbay.

Now I work mostly on my solo project. I have released my music on Spotify, Youtube and other streaming platforms. I put out two CD’s, “Change Of Heart” and “Tiny Screens & Jelly Beans. The latter being instrumental guitar rock; with me on guitar.

For my songs with vocals, I either sing them, or hire guest singers for a different vibe. Especially for the rock songs.

In September, 2023, I recorded an album, “Generations End” with the Larry DeMarco Band in New York. It’s a collection of Jazz inspired tracks, feat. me on bass, and Larry on guitar.

If you are curious about all the “girlie” photos, I lead a semi-transgendered life; never transitioned medically; just socially. I don’t perform as Carla if I’m working for clients/bands. Mostly I perform as Carla for my solo project. Thanks for visiting my page.
